This bedroom uses a cool color palette within a analogous color scheme. This means that the colors chosen are adjacent to each other on the color wheel. The dominant color is a blue-grey (1). Directly next to blue on the color wheel is green. Notice the muted green (2) in the pillows and curtains. And next to green on the color wheel is yellow. The muted yellow becomes a beige tone (3) found on the trim and in the print above the bed. This choice of creme adds warmth to the color scheme.
The warm golden tones of the oak end table complements the beige used in the trim and adds an additional warm element to the room. Throughout the area rug, pillows and draperies, shades and tints of the muted green are used.
There is an element of fun in this room. The sitting chairs are upholstered in a rich deep blue... that does a nice job of accenting the color scheme... and keeping it from getting to dull.
